About our AKC Miniature Dachshund Puppies

Our puppies are born and raised in our home in the cleanest of environments and by the time they go to their new families
between 8 & 12 weeks of age they are well on their way to being both psychologically and physically sound because of
what I call the three S’s. Stimulation, Socialization, Sound Nutrition

In order to improve their natural abilities, I give the newborn pups a once daily early neurological stimulation program
called the “Bio Sensor” method. It begins in the third day of life and continues once daily thru day sixteen. It is proven to
improve the performance of dogs in terms of abilities to cope, adjust and later adapt to situations as adults.

We do not have a kennel. We believe in incorporating our dogs into our daily lives. The puppies are kept in a large
whelping box located in our living room. They are checked on throughout the day and we keep the box warm using a
special heating pad that goes under the bedding. We weigh them daily until their first vet appointment. As they get older,
we remove the heating pad and provide them with all the hugs, gentle handling and soft kisses we can. We also start pee
pad training and socialization with the rest of the dogs. The puppies go out to see our Vet and receive 3 rounds of de-
worming and their first vaccine before going to their new home.

Sound Nutrition

Following my Vet’s recommendation, as the puppies are being weaned they eat a puppy mush softened with very hot
water and mashed to a soft consistency. I feed our adult dogs twice a day using Royal Canin MINI Adult 27 Formula dog
food. For the evening meal, I add a small amount of tuna in oil to the dry kibble to help keep their coats nice and shiny. I
never feed beef or pork products. I use cooked chicken and freeze dried chicken livers for bait and training purposes.

We pride ourselves in raising pure AKC registered dachshunds. All of our puppies will go home with their AKC
registration, a copy of their pedigree and health records and will be current on all vaccines and worming. A starter kit of
puppy food, a blanket, puppy pads and a toy will also go home with your new puppy. A non-refundable deposit of $200
is required to hold the puppy of your choice. Final payment is due before the puppies go to their new home.

If we do not have the puppy you are looking for right now please email your name, phone number, and/or email address,
and what you are looking for, and we will be happy to keep you informed as to what we expect to be having soon. We do
not share any of your information without first obtaining your permission and would only do so, if we were trying to help
you find a puppy from one of our breeder friends.  Please feel to contact us with any questions you may have, and we
will be happy to get you an answer.
